The Scrap Wrap?? will accommodate up to 24 protector pages for a total of 48 scrapbook pages. An additional set of protector pages can be added below.
Up until now, there were three primary binding systems for scrapbook albums; 3-Ring, Post/Screw and strap hinge. We now add a fourth method called Velcro or hook & loop binding:
- Velcro Binding is easy to use. You open the vanity flaps at the back of the album. Pull apart the pages, re-order them and stick them back together. The stress of the scrapbook pages are spread across the entire length of the protector pages so that your pages will not rip out. In fact, you could pick up your album by one of your pages, and it would not tear or fall apart.
- 3-Ring is easy to use, but the depth of the rings really add to the overall length of the book, and make the album resemble a school notebook. Also, the rings create stress points which cause ripping of the sheets. Try picking up your album by one of your sheets and see what happens.
- Post/Screw also takes advantage of 3-hole pages, but you need three hands to turn the screw down through the post. One to hold the pages down, one to hold the post, and a third to turn the screw. Changing page order is a real chore, and the stress on the pages tends to rip the holes.
- The final binding method is strap hinge. This is offered primarily by Creative Memories. These albums consist of a sheet of cardstock with three staples along the left edge. You run a plastic strip through all of the staples to hold the album together. If you miss a staple, you have to pull the strip back out and start again.
Available Accessories:The Scrap Wrap is VERY versatile. You can change the entire look of your album literally in seconds by taking off your current album cover and switching it with another cover. Perhaps you would like to change the look of your album to celebrate an upcoming season. A replacement cover can be purchased for a fraction of the cost of an entire album. The covers are available at "Covers Only".
Set of 12 Protector Pages to augment your Scrap Wrap book. The pages are NOT compatible with standard scrapbooks because they have hook & loop fasteners attached along the binding edge. Yes, they are more expensive then your standard refill HOWEVER consider that EACH page protector is in fact its own binder which is what makes the SCRAP WRAP so simple to use! |
